Feed the Hungry

It is our parish’s turn to host Feed the Hungry, in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall on

Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Please be generous with your time.

Sign up sheets will be available at the Information Desk following all Masses beginning on May 5, 2012

What is Feed the Hungry?

Feed the Hungry is a weekly Sunday dinner program that serves a full course meal including dessert to homeless and underpriveledged individuals and families within our community.

How many people eat dinner?

Approximately 500 people enjoy Sunday dinner each week.

Who can Volunteer?

You can! It is recommened that those under the age of 12 work together with an adult and all volunteers shoulr be at least 6 years in age.

What do I wear?

Out of respect for our guests, we ask that you dress comfortably, but conservatively. In order to comply with health and safety practices, close toed shoes are required. Aprons and serving gloves are provided. Coats can be hung on designated coat racks. Please leave your valuables at home or lock them in the trunk of your car.

How do I access the Hall?

Please enter through the east side entrance, through the small glass vestibule.

What do I do when I arrive?

Sign in at the Volunteer Table (front of hall), make yourself a name tag, and then report to the Program Coordinator for instructions.

What do I do if I cannot make my shift?

Call the parish office prior to June 3, or call St. Mary’s Hall on Sunday at 403-228-6318.
